Just a Thought
Have you ever just sat down and mused Scripture? Or even the concept of who God is? A Pastor named Bill Hybels once spoke a message about how vision leaks; in other words, picture vision as though it were a large container; now. looking closely at the container, we would see a small drip… drip… drip… coming out of a corner of the container. This is even true for what we read in Scripture, and for what we know about who God is. Consider what the Bible says about the subject:
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does,” [James 1:22-25 (NKJV)].
After Mother’s Day
Just a Thought…
Today is the day after Mother’s day and I am praying all of you are still valuing and appreciating all the Mothers out there; this should not be set aside for only one day per year! Scripture says: Render… respect to whom respect is due and honor to whom honor is due, [Romans 13:7 (NKJV)]. This verse implicates the idea that we are to respect and honor our Mothers all the time, not merely once each year. Let this year; 2017, be a year of honor and respect for our mothers, for one another, and for all those the Scripture commands that we should honor.
